I used to see these in the woods when I was little. My mother told me it was illegal to pick them. Do you know if that's true? She also told me it was illegal to drive barefoot and I am pretty sure she was lying about that.
We were always told the same thing. They "were endangered" so there is probably some truth to that. This one was in the woods behind my house. Now it's at the edge of my yard because I dug it up....BTW- I think it is illegal to drive barefoot. At least that's what I was always told lol.
